Full carbon construction on both rotors and pads make for the highest braking quality in any situation. This is important in a braking system that is massively downsized vs factory brakes. The carbon/carbon combo will not leave you second guessing the reliability of the brakes when you need them the most.
Steel brakes naturally fade with heat and braking performance declines massively. This only gets worse when brakes are downsized in drag racing applications for wheel fitment. This is where the carbon/carbon brakes excel. The carbon/carbon composition works best at around 1000 degrees F and can continue performing past 3000 degrees. Another benefit is that they will not warp. These properties could be the difference between a good day and a very bad day at the track.
Using Strange Engineering base parts, we adapted them to the Audi chassis by designing our own billet adapter kit. The rotor adapters are the proper bolt pattern and center hub diameter. They also bring the Strange rotor hat to the same thickness as the OEM rotor. This does not interfere with wheel offset/backspacing measurements vs an OEM brake setup.
